JJP Women’s Swim Program
by AmeenaThis program has been running for a long time so it is very reliable. It is absolutely my favorite place to swim. It is a good sized pool which is always clean and there aren’t many people who come, especially in the winter. I almost don’t want to spread the word for fear of the place getting too crowded
The location is quite a distance from where I live but I make the trek because it’s totally worth it. The kids get in free and I can swim for a total of 3 hours without worrying about not having enough time.
Although this location falls in Etobicoke, I would consider it to be more of a Toronto location.

Note: Purchase your swim pass at the office when you enter the building and don’t forget to take the pass with you into the pool area to give to the lifeguards as proof of your payment. Bring your own shower curtains with hooks if you want privacy when changing (there are rods to hang the curtains). There are lockers at a cost of $0.25 for use (no lock needed). Children 7 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. I recommend that you call the recreation centre before going to make sure that the program is running on the day you plan to attend.
Finding parking can be a challenge. The best place to look for parking is on St. Claire Ave. West of the building on the south side of the street or on Landsdowne Ave. on both sides of the street.
