Mississauga Women's Swim Lessons Spring 2012

This is a very popular swim program. Spots are filled very quickly.

There are three levels being taught in both classes. Students will have a swim assessment on first day of classes and be placed into their appropriate levels.
level 101: learn to float, glide, etc
level 201: learn underwater breathing, front kick, etc.
level 301: learn back crawl, breast stroke, etc.
There are two ways to register:
- Online: starting 25 February, 2012 at http://www.connect2rec.ca and click “sign up” button. Payment is by credit card only.
- In person: starting 3 March, 2012 at any of the Mississauga recreation centres.

Can u please tell if these lessons are good for beginners? I dont know swimming , would this class be a good choice for me to learn?

Yes, these classes are perfect for beginners. Level 101 starts off with basic swimming techniques. The following quote is from the course description: “Whether you’re just starting out or just want help with your strokes, our Youth & Adult Program is for the young at heart – no matter what your age. Set your own goals. Work with certified instructors to learn to swim, or improve your current swimming ability and water fitness.”

I have contacted the organizer of the previous swim lessons in Brampton. The following is her response: “I am not running any swim programs right now mainly because the city is offering a few ladies only swimming options anyway. I know some people who go to Earnscliffe and Cassie Campbell for women/girls only swimming programs.”
If Mississauga is not too far, you may wish to look into swim lessons there.

i have 2 questions
1. till when are the registrations open
2. is there any uniform, will you provide the student with it. or can the student wear what ever they r conformable with. will the water damage hair? should student bring head covering as well.

1. Registration is open while there are available spots in the classes
2. There is no uniform. You can wear a bathing suit (with t-shirt or leggings). The water has chlorine in it. From my experience, if you wash your hair after swimming it should be fine. You can wear a bathing cap.
is it only for muslim women
