What’s Up

Considering the inactive sedentary lifestyles we lead these days, we need to get active more than ever. Participating in sports is a great way to get in shape while having fun. It also has many positive side effects; including stress reduction, improvement of the immune system, increasing energy, and much more.

Sports for Muslims is something we have wanted and needed for years. Now it is becoming a reality. Recreation centers realize there is a demand and have begun to offer women only and men only swim programs. Also many members of our community have voluntarily given their time to start up programs to fill a need.

Frequently, I would hear about sports activities either through word of mouth or forwarded emails here and there. There wasn’t any one place I could go to find out what sports programs were running in my community. So I decided to do it myself. I hope people find this website useful and get out and get active!
